Mike started the company from the ground up, building on product quality, value, and long term customer relationships. The one man operation in Oxnard grew gradually to 15 employees, each one dedicated to Mike's vision of a company providing unmatched personal service.
		Oxnard was not an ideal place, but it taught us how to grow quality plants under challenging conditions. Within 3 years, it became obvious that the business was outgrowing the Oxnard location.
	In 1998, the company relocated to 10 acre property in Arroyo Grande, California, and now operates with approximately 1 acre under cover.
		The move has been overwhelmingly positive, as the central coast region offers excellent growing conditions for our products. For example, our pansy seedlings finish outside, producing a quality plug, hardened and conditioned naturally.
	Our job has always been to do the difficult things to make the customer's life easy. We strive to provide the best quality, value and dependability to our customers. Although our company is growing, we recognize all customers as individuals, and will go to extraordinary lengths to satisfy individual needs.
		There are very few "standard procedures" at Cal Seedling. We don't believe customers should bend their business to suit their suppliers. If you need someone to do things YOUR way, give us a call. We'd like to do business with you for a long time.
